FAQ

When shall we book?
Maternity sessions anytime from 32-34 weeks.
Newborn Sessions can be scheduled anytime after the 20-week scan. Some people prefer to book after the baby is born; however, this depends on availability.
Family Sessions: Some people like to plan, and some like to be spontaneous. But whenever you want, we chat and get you booked in. If you want a weekend session, the earlier you know, the better.
How do I book a session?
I have a dedicated booking system, which can be found HERE. If you wish to email me, please use the contact me form below.
Do I have to have a zoom call?
Zoom calls are mainly for home sessions so I can evaluate the space and natural light. You may also send pictures if you prefer.
Before the Session
Once booking has been made I will post you my client guide, this is full of useful information from styling to locations and more. If you have booked a mini session or a session within two weeks of the date, this will be sent digitally.
We can also collaborate on a Pinterest board or you may view my ready made ones HERE - Be sure to share any favourites.
How long does a typical photo session last?
My priority is making you feel comfortable. Sometimes, children need a little longer. A typical session lasts 60-90 Minutes, and Newborn Sessions can vary from 2-3 hours.
Do you pose?
I am a natural photographer who wants to create authentic images of you. I may direct for light and prompt if needed. Mostly, if you cuddle, play, and be in the moment with your loved ones, you won't go wrong.
I have some tricks and games up my sleeve.
Why is natural light important for our photos, and how do you decide where to take them?
Natural light is essential for creating warm, authentic images. It adds a soft, natural quality that enhances the beauty of each photo. During your session, I’ll carefully assess the spaces in your home (or outdoor location) to find the best spots with ideal lighting, ensuring each photo captures the genuine, beautiful moments you’re looking for.
Do I need a lot of space for home photography sessions?
Not at all! You don't need a large space to capture beautiful images. I work with your home's natural light and unique features, finding cosy corners and well-lit areas that highlight authentic moments. Small, intimate spaces can make for some of the most meaningful and personal photographs.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If a bit of drizzle doesn't bother you, this can make the session more magical. But if it's torrential rain, we can Reschedule for another suitable date. I do keep an eye on the weather leading up to the session.
How many photos does a gallery have?
There are typically around 40. If some work in Black and White, I'll include them also. I want to prioritise quality over quantity.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE THE FINAL EDITED PHOTOS?
I hand-edit using a combination of Lightroom and Photoshop, and I want to ensure that everything delivered is of my highest quality. This can take up to four weeks from the day of the session.
